FF + BSIAB2 = Jimi in a can?

I'm thinking about combining a Fuzz Face type circuit with a BSIAB2 circuit in one box, do you guys think this would get me the Jimi Hendrix tone? I'd make the fuzz switchable independent of the BSIAB2. Worthy project?

I'm really going for a pedal board that can get most classic tones. I'm thinking:

* Tube Screamer clone
* Professor Tweed
* BSIAB2
* Fuzz Face with switchable trannies (ge to si)
* Dano Chicken Salad
* reverb of some kind (Holy Grail?)

These would all go into a Fender Amp of some kind, probably a Twin.

I'd like to eventually build my own univibe clone and my own reverb, but I'm honestly not ready for those yet. Maybe once I've built a TS from scratch, the BSIAB2, the Professor Tweed, and a really good FF, I'll be ready.

Sounds like a good combo. The fuzz face would have to first in the box with the BSIAB2, and first in the whole chain. The TS clone would probably have buffers, same with the Dano, which isn't true bypass. FF's always seem to behave better right after your pickup's.

Sounds cool, I like my TS right after my pickups, fuzz face and then chicken salad (and a few others in between) I'll try the fuzz face first. I modded my chicken salad to go a bit faster. Have you modded yours at all. The faster rate is good but it tends to add a tremolo effect as well. Just wondering if anyone had got around this problem.

Chicken Salad mods? I've never heard of any, what did you do?

If you use a Fender Twin, you won't need a reverb because the Twins have the great Fender tube-driven spring reverb.

I like my Fuzz Face first in the chain, but if the TS is true bypass, then I wouldn't think that it would matter much, as long as you don't try to run them both at the same time.  Fuzz Faces for sure don't like to be put after a regular Tube Screamer/SD-1 because the two buffers are always in the signal chain and they'll drive a FF a lot harder.

Sound's good, and the Holy Grail for the price can't be beat, work's good through the front but when pumped through an effects loop sound's even better.     :idea:

The holy grail would be for at home practicing through my homemade practice amps.
