Yo.

Does anyone know where I can find a Z80A CPU? I'm almost sure it's obsolete; I can't even get a datasheet for it off google, but there must be a replacement in production, can anyone help me out?

I've checked Rapid, ESR, and TI but no luck

You can still get them.  They were the main CPU in early computers, but they still have their uses today.  Try Digikey.

You can use a Z80B or a Z80C in the same place. (the letter is a speed grade)

I don't think anybody makes a vanilla Z80 these days but they were sure popular for a long time so finding one shouldn't take too many old boards. :o

Jameco have them in stock, also JDR Microdevices.
What is it for?
Ther is a ton of data on the web, this is a good place to start (or stop!)

Hehe....quick replies, thanks!

Its for an early computer that i'm building (from scratch); I found it on John Hollis's site.

I bid on one (actually there's 6 of them) on eBay; i'm pretty sure i'll win
