I dont know how many know this but you can get free parts from Analog Devices, Texas Instruments - opamps, chips, and Fairchild Semiconductor - BF245 jfets.

got to a homepage of these suppliers and click 'request samples'.
You may have to invent a company :wink:

How you do it, is look in the 'search' for the keyword 'samples'. And try to sound like an engineer when you ask for them, they won't send any to 'stinkfinger7659'.
Warning: in Australia the company rep will visit to see how you are getting on & to try for a 1,000 part order..

Sometimes, also, companies may not accept hotmail and yahoo id's, so beware.
