I just got through checking 3 new Fulltone 100k pot's i've had laying unopened for about a year, I just checked all 3 and they all checked in at about 86K ohm's, i tried all 3 of my meter's also and got the same reading, anyone else check the ohmage on these ?
Just curious if you got the same reading ?

Sounds about right.  I had one a few years ago & 90K rings a bell.

My last two Fulltones measured exactly 95k and 100k. The Hotpotz usually measured out at 115k-119k, and the Hotpotz II usually measured out at around 95-100k.

I'll measure mine for you when I get home. It's not being used at the moment, as I actually like the hotpot's taper fine, so it didn't seem to be that much of an upgrade.

I have two more Fulltone's coming from Aron. I'll check them also. Looks like they may vary from lot to lot. Even with the usual 20% tolorance, some run's of pots can be pretty consistant withing the tolorance range.

I always index the pot on a wah, and check them before and after with a DMM. I always found the Hotpotz and Hotpotz II to be very consistant, value wise.

I think I'm going plot out the tapers on the Fulltone, Hotpotz, and Hotpotz II. I have enough of each one to get a good average. Then I'll plot out some standard linear, log taper, and reverse log tapers and see how they all stack up. Both the pot gears, and long shaft pots themselves are easily available.

Stuart, have you ever plotted (graphed) out the taper of an original Icar pot?

Hey, Thank's Ricky, that's about what mine are reading, so i'm in the ball game,
Fretwire, that would be neat to have all the different wha pot's mapped and in a faq sheet in the Archive's, Great Idea !
