Hello, all!

I'm new here, just wanted to ask how you mount your terminal strips and perf boards in your enclosures?

Thanks

I don't use perf, but for stripboard (vero) I had great success with those adhesive standoffs, you can get them from smallbear electronics.

for raco's I drill right through the chosen perfholes or edge of the board, then through the box with the same bit, sandwiching insulation layer [hard thin plastic sheet or...] between the board and box, about 3/4'' screw threads are started in the box and through the insulation, then at the right depth the screws are started through the perfboard holes, threads hold the screws tight in the board and box.
I drill the first screw's holes, screw that together enough to mark alignment for the others.
Sticky pads are sounding pretty good about now, eh???
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks for the help, guys! You're right, the self adhesive looks like the answer for the perf boards. Any suggestions on the terminal strips?

Well, I havn't done this, but why would that stop me making a suggestion

I have seen gear where countersunk headed bolts were used, you drill a hole for the bolt, and make (CAREFULLY!) a conical hole on the outside of the case at the end of the hole for the head to fit in. Fortunately FX box material is so soft you can do this by hand, if you make a handle for the special drill bit. You can go down a bit further than you need & then 'bondo' over the surface if you want it to look invisible.

What I do is this: for instance building a run off groove fet emulation on perf/ mount pots in case w/ power connections and jacks etc./ screw standoffs to perf.get a tube of jbweld or even super glue will work[put some on the ends of the standoffs that contact the case and let it set ...no hole drilling or trying to match up screw holes.... but if you want to mount it hard to the case that isnt a problem. Before you pop. your perf  just lay the board down in the bottom of the case and mark the stand off mounting holes through the perf and drill them out.
