Grounding pedal enclosure via an Alpha 9mm pot

Hello, I'm curious if anyone knows if the mounting clips on the back of an Alpha 9mm vertical pot conduct to the top of the case and the bushing. I was hoping to ground my enclosure by soldering one of the mounting clips to ground on the pcb. Will this work?

I have a bunch of those on my desk. Yes, the mounting pins have continuity with the bushing, so you should be good.
