rx electronics COB .... clean octave?

does anyone know anything about this pedal? they make is sound like it's a clean octave... it's been discussed about producing a clean octave that it would be very difficuilt without digital modeling so what's the deal with this one? is the title misleading or if not, how do they do it?

The title is at least misleading, if not downright.

It might be better called a "Not quite as dirty octive blend" (NQADOB), which doesn't sound nearly as good in advertising copy.
