The classic DPDT version (no LED)...

That's an A/B box, isn't it?. A looper has in and out, plus connections for an "effects loop (send/return)
It can be done passively, but why not add a blend knob?
The paralooper at Moosapotamus' site will do nicely: you can even do away with the filter section opamp and circuitry and just put a short in it's place.
Build the whole thing though - great little tool for both guitar and bass. If it's too ballsy, replace the 10u with 1u and remove the filter cap (.047, Moose has this paralleled with a switchable second cap on the pcb) or make it a lower value.

You might want to take a look at GEO - see "Jimi in a box".

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

i'm planning on making one too.

i found this:
http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/rmtswtch/rmtsw.htm
but too me it just seems like i don't think it could work as a bypass box, i prolly just don't understant it.

then i found this:
http://geofex.com/Article_Folders/fxswitchr/fxselex1.gif
this seems simpler and is what i'm using. hell, for all i know they're prolly both the same, but i know i understant that one. good luck.
