"blatty/gated" Fuzz control.

Okay; i built a Bazz-Fuss.  when the fuzz control decides to work; i get a Wierd decaying gated sound.  

since all my Multi meters' fuses have blown (thanks to my Curious Nephews) i have no way of measuring the transistor.  

i doubt the Meter would help me anyways because all the debugging places tell you is to measure it.  Then what eh?  How do you fix it?

What can i do to make this horrid Pedal work eh?  Also; what's the colour code on a 100K Resistor?

Here's what/how i wired the Bazz-Fuss:

-2 mono switch craft jacks
-no Diode
-a level and gain control.  
-22uf Cap, and a .01 cap.  

Maybe i have the wrong resistor eh?  i assume it's a 100K But not 100% positive....

You omitted the diode?  That's probably the problem.
