hey guys,

ive been slaving away at my miss piggy for a while now, and despite all my efforts the only sound i can through the first transistor is a hugely dropped volume of the input. on the base i get 100%, emitter about 20% and collector maybe 10%.

im guessing the transistor isnt getting voltage, and despite where i set the trimpot it doesnt seem to help at all. i just rewired the battery snap and the battery isnt flat. so what im assuming from this is that my trimpot is not working.

as a result i was wanting to try just quickly a resistor in place of the trimpot and hopefully be able to get some reasonable volume through that transistor - then we can see if the second trimpot is screwed as well  :?

thanks for the help guys,
trent

I haven't had Tirmpot problems.
You could 'tag' a resistor adross the pot and see what it does.
I think you can pull Q1 [or2] and test the resistanct there across the collector pot in ckt and get a variable R reading;;while you twist on em.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
