I bought this surplus 10u/400v electro I needed for my amp build and it has a polarity marking I have not seen before. Up to this point, all the electros I have seen have an arrow with a "-" on it or pointing to a "-" like this: -----> -

This cap has the arrow pointing to the "+": ----> +

Actually it is marked with several arrows and "+'s" like this:

---> + ---> + ---> +   etc...

Never seen one like this before... I will connect the lead the arrow points to to the positive side- unlike my other caps. I may put on a fire suit and a pair of goggles when I power it up the first time- just in case... :D

I know 8) It's kinda funny though when a cap goes BOOM :twisted:
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

I have a couple magnet chargers where I work, that I take care of and the capacitors are the size of a gallon can of paint thinner.  When these babies blow, the whole plant jumps!!!!!!!!
Peace!

I just recapped an old superfuzz. I took a photo of the top as a reference. The old caps were pos on the lined side, new were normal. It just messed with my head every step of the way.

Use them babies up fast and find a new supplier!
