Hey I was at a surplus place and I found this tiny UTC transistor transformer, primary 200kCT secondary 1kCT:

here's a picture

My 1960 Allied Radio catalog says it's a "Deci-Ouncer" input transformer for transistor circuits - and it cost $7.35 back then!  I also found one that goes from 600 ohms to 3.2 ohms... perhaps for driving a tiny speaker?

Anyway, searching Google it looks like I can make a Stun-Gun   , or possibly a balanced Direct Box, so I can plug my guitar into a microphone input (more interesting).

Could it be used to cool effect in a stompbox?  I'd love to hear from you guys who know your stuff on this one.
