I have a Guyatone TR-3 trem that I run through my amp's effects loop.  It sounds fine but it gives a volume boost that I hate.  Is there a way I can turn the volume down after the pedal and before the amp to equalize the overall volume?  I've seen a pedal that is basically a volume pot and would probably work but it's too pricey for me.  Is there a simple way I could build my own?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why not put two resistors inside the pedal that act like an internal fixed volume control?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

R. G., how and where in the pedal would a novice such as myself add the resistors?  Is it relatively easy to do?
