R5101 Analog Delay chip work alike?

is there any chip that could be used as a replacement for the r501 bbd used in the old mxr delay? could i find anything that would work without haveing to redesign the whole board?

You're gonna have to redesign it, unfortunately.  There was someone selling circuit boards on eBay adapted for the PT2399, though.
