Thanks to some great advice from people on this forum, i was able to restore power to my fried ibanez table top analog delay--

As I had feared, there seems to be some other, less visible damage, and i'm not sure how to troubleshoot the circuit. i've looked at the debugging faq but i don't really know what i need to do to find the problem with unit.

the unit powers on but there's no sound at all passing through the circuit, clean or effect. if i turn up the output volume control, there's a slightly noticeable increase in noise-- kind of crackly hum, like something wants to come out but can't, if that makes sense. it's definitely noisier/buzzier than it was before, but i'm not sure where the problem is. it sounds like when am amp is turned on and turned up but there's no guitar plugged into the cord on the input.

if someone could point me to the right starting point to fix this, that would be great. i don't really understand how to test the parts for power or what section of the circuit i should start on to look for the problem. can i use a multimeter, ground to the chassis, and test other points with the red probe?

all help greatly appreciated. i'd be thrilled if i could get this unit running again myself.

<bump>

if someone can just point me in the right direction to get started i'd be really appreciative. i just don't really understand the troubleshooting FAQs i've looked at and i would like to work on this unit this weekend. any idea where the problem probably is? best methods for testing parts? what should my readings be on a multimeter? where should i ground to?

thanks
