Hey guys, I'm really needing to add some sort of filtering circuit to my wah pedal.  I'm using a Visual Sound 1Spot to power it with a power plug added onto the wah.

The problem I am having is that it is noisy when I turn the wah on, especially when the wah is on the treble side.  I've tried adding a diode right after the positive lug to filter the signal, but that didn't help much.  Does anyone know any other ways to do this?

Any schems or ideas would be great!  Thanks in advance,

Ben

describe "noisy".
60cycle buzz?
little bees?
little crickits?
mayB all U need is a lowpass filter?
from + of 1spot 2 leftside of a 100ohm resistor (1/4watt).
rightside of resistor 2 + side of 100mfd cap....this is your new B+.
of course, neg side of 1Spot and neg of cap R gnd.
hope this helps.

The noise is a type of hiss that is most noticable when the wah is in the treble position, since when it's like that it's practically boosting the hiss.  I'm trying to follow your mod, but I don't quite understand.  I don't have a wah in front of me but I found a schem online.  Are you wanting me to
add a 100 ohm resistor or are you saying there's one on the board?  Here's a picture of what I think you're saying.

With the resistor being a 100 ohm and the cap 100uF.  I'll give this a try
and hopefully it will work.  By the way, what is this doing?  It's a lowpass
for the power?  Will it cut any of my highs?  Also, does having a diode in the circut help at all?  Thanks!

I don't think your problem is with your wall-wart.  Hiss is quite normal for this type of wah.  A little filtering might help.
