I recently finished building Jake's Blue Magic. I like it, but with my setup it sounds a little "thick". Shorting out R11 via the "open" switch sounds pretty harsh. I haven't played with socketing different values for R11 yet, and was wondering- has anyone tried replacing R11 with a 25K pot, kind of an "open" control?  I don't have one on hand to try it, but it seems like it would be a really widen the range of tones available.

I'm useing a 50k-pot for R11 and it works really great since you can blend between a hard edge overdrive and a thick round one. But with some setups it's hardly audible - quite like the mids boost switch.

∇ ⋅ B = 0
∇ x H = ∂D/∂t + j
