Radio Wah?

Hi,

Can I use the LM2917 frequency/voltage converter to convert a theremin's pitch to voltage so I can actuate a resistor to ground wah?
I found this:

If one takes out the TC7660 and feed the circuit with 9 VDC it'll be stompbox friendly.
And I already built Pisotone's mini theremin, it works well:

Oh, and the local electronics store has 2 LM2917!  :twisted:

Yeah I saw the ProxyOzzi project and there's just too many variables to tweek, like the plate antenna size itself. And the circuit part that transforms the oscilation into variable resistor is too long, and if I'll go the PLL way an osciloscope would be mandatory...
Hmmm, maybe I'm being picky    Don't get me wrong, I've been very tempted to build it! That oscilator looks easier to built than any colpits one, with coils.
I've also built 2 volume controlers for theremins (like the Southwest Technical's 144 and 142 theremins) but failed to make them work.
I'm at a loss... that ZVEX probe wah is just genius. I gotta make me one of those  :twisted:
