How succesful have you guys been using 9v with an AD633?

Using 4.5v as ground and ground as V-, I'm getting very little out of it, just a bit of scratchy white noise, no fun modulating at all.  Has anyone successfully done it?  Perhaps it is time to invest in a bipolar power supply...

I think 4.5v a side is pretty low for it.
I run 15v a side (regulated).
The data sheet (which I found by searching   AD633 data  in google) says +and -8 is the lowest. On the bright side, it also says you don't need regulation, there is internal zeners etc.

So, maybe +/-9V from something like a MAX1044 would get it going, maybe?

Looks like that's what I'm going to be going for.  I assume it would work thusly.  Just wish there was a good way to do it without the specific chip...
