a/b box...bad HUMMMMMMM

Any idea why? I wired up just like this except I left out the led and used a dpdt. Here is the image layout:

Probably a ground loop --what are you using it to switch?

Any time you connect the grounds on multiple effects and/or amps, you take the chance of introducing ground loop hum. For why this should be so, read the "Spyder Power Supply" article at GEO.

For how to get around it, read the "Hum Free Signal Splitter" article at GEO.

Hmmm... better yet, read all of the stuff at GEO.

I'm using it to switch between two amps. If only 1 amp is on, everything is alright. But, when I turn the other amp on...HMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
