Hi!

This is my first post, so be nice ;)

I just built a Marshall Guvnor 2 Clone but I can't get it to sound like the original. Mine is missing quite a bit of highs and sounds quite in the lows, which so original does not.

Since I built it with True Bypass, I used the input/gain stage of the Guvnor 1 (basicly up until the tonestack it's the Guvnor 1 schematic). Exept for the FET to switch the LED on and off, both circuits are pretty much the some. The Guvnor 2 uses a few coils right at the input... what are these for?

I just probed it: The difference between the pedals has to be somewhere before the tonestack. I just can't seem to find it.

When I read the voltages on IC1, all the values are the same in both pedals, exept for pin3 where the original has appr. 2VDC and mine has 4VDC. But what in the Guvnor 2 is responsible for such a big voltage drop across the 1M resistor. And why does is not occur in the Guvnor 1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
