Greetings to all...

Just modded an old Anderton original EPFM Preamp that I built when I was 13

Added a voltage splitter for single battery, replaced the feedback resistor with a 2M pot for variable boost with a 22k resistor in series for unity gain, substituted the LM741 for a LM307 to reduce noise, and used thin shielded cable from a cheap mic for the inputs and outputs. No switching.

This thing overdrives my old Carvin VTR2800 tube (clean channel-half power) into BEAUTIFUL distortion with management from the guitar's vol knob with virtually no coloration (Can't use full power---Too loud :twisted: )
