i'm to much of a beginner to be messing around with lamp and ldrs of the univibe and easyvibe so is there a simple pedal which lets you have vibrato and chorus.

thanx

I am assuming you mean simple to build, and I am also assuming that when you say vibrato, you mean the vibrato that delivers subtle pitch-shifting rather than tremolo which delivers volume changes.  The short answer is no, there isn't anything really simple that delivers chorus and vibrato just because of how they work.

Of course "simple" is a relative term, but when you treat LEDs and LDRs as deterrents, then it is safe to assume that BBDs and clocks, etc., are similar deterrents.  I am also assuming that you're likely looking for something that would not require you to make or buy a PCB (i.e., "perf-able").

On the other hand, what you want or expect out of such an effect may be much simpler than what other users would want, so I won't dismiss it outright.  The Phozer project/design at runoffgroove (http://www.runoffgroove.com/phozer.html) isn't any more complicated than building a Big Muff, and can deliver a small taste of what you lump under vibrato/chorus.  Just remember we are talking seriously small taste.   Still, although not precisely what you're looking for it is musically valid, and a nice stepping stone to bigger and snazzier things..

i think i'll go back to the idea of the easyvibe

I wish they were ALL as easy as Tim Escobedo's projects, or a Bazz Fuss, but sometimes we just have to accept that a certain effect demands a given circuit complexity. :(

On the bright side, you get to learn stuff on the way.

I will put in a plug for Univibing a Ross Phaser.  Sounds great, and is cheap to make.  I would not recommend perfing it though.
