"Carmen Queasy" guitar?

Inspired by the thread about the theme song from Charmed, I rembered this track again. It's "Carmen Queasy" by Skunk Anansie's Skin and Prodigy's Maxim.
It has some really weird/cool guitar sounds, especially the intro. It sounds like some sort of tremolo which suddenly speeds up, with some autowah thrown in as well.

Anybody familiar with this track? How would I get this sound without having to use protools or similar?....

hmm well someone from last thread said they ran into a couple of fenders and had to synch up the tremolo on each one.  


i am currently workin on it but its slow go
