I built the EC midrange boost use'in the # 2 Hand drawn schematic at The Blueguitar, I used 2n4123's and a 2n4125 for less gain and a cleaner tighter tone, I used this pedal Sat. night and with a Fulltone 2, the booster and a S/F Super reverb got some very serious tone playing a Standard L.P., when i switched it over to play Steel through it, I noticed it was a tad to bright for my liking, same with a Strat, would it be possible to lay in other tone caps on a rotary switch to change my E.Q to something a little darker for these instrument's with brighter tone ? and if it is possible, would there be any popping when you changed from cap to cap. Would it need pulldown resistors to keep it from popping ?
Thank's,
JD

I tried something like that with a big muff and the filter cap(the 4700pf one). when you switch live caps, you hear a bit of a change in the sound (like a little background noise from the amp. It shouldn't pop with a good switch. It will pop if your switch as anytime releases contact with all the contacts inside of it. In that case put a resistor(1M it think) to prevent it from popping.
