Hello People, this is my first topic  :D

I introduce myself:
i'm a Spanish amateur "DIY freak" and I have done a BigMuff, and a Scrambler.
I have in project a MXR envelope Filter, a Ruby Amp, and a runoffgrove emulation of the Marshall Super Lead! (It sounds great!)
And, well, one inet friend of an spanish guitar forum, introduced me to this huge forum, until today I have been reading only, but now, i wanna participate.  :D

Just, i have only a question. I did an order to Smallbear,9 days ago (He has got an excelent prizes, and a lot of things that are very difficult to find here!  :D ). Well, the same day he confirmed my request and I payed it throught PayPal. I haven´t recieved any response. I have heard, that Steve uses to delay a little, because it has a lot of work, but i cannot do nothing until I have the order, and I wanna use the Iron!!!!!  :D

And my question is, how are your experiences with Smallbear? Time of sending, and that. I wanna know, for the next time, to order it with more days.

Thanks!

Hello, and welcome.
The last order I  placed to Smallbear took about eight or nine days before Steve e-mailed me to tell me it was in the mail.
I think Steve has been exceptionally busy recently, so the orders may be a little backed up. On average it takes about 4-5 days before he confirms the parts are on the way.(I live in New York, so I don't know know if this time applies to everyone  or not) I wouldn't worry about not getting your parts, Steve has an excellent reputation around here as a dependable guy.

But... i wanna do one more!!

steve rules!

my last order to him was also a little slow.  He's really busy now, but im sure you'll get your stuff.  If you're getting worried, e-mail him.  He's always fast and polite in responding :-D

Hello Diode,
Welcome!!!

So you're from Valencia, that's cool I had been there last year and wiil be there again this year, I'll be at Madrid, Valencia(Palencia?), Vigo, Ponte Vedra, Salamanca, Barcelona and some more... Spain is cool... I'm from Brazil.

Well, Steve from Small Bear is a really nice guy, and always helped me a lot. I just would like to say THANKS to him. Now he has too much work and is restructuring the cave I think....

But  :D  If you really want to use your solder and be surprised by great sounding circuit, I'm sure you can find all you need at your city, it's so simple, try the "NPN BOOST" from the Beginner Project Forum it's very simple and great sounding... almost ANY NPN silicon will work for that...

Peace

Might I advise a 2n2222 metal-can transistor for the boost. It gives a nice crunchy bite when you crank it :D
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Don't worry about Steve, he may be slower to anwser to orders these days, but he won't let you down. He never did.

I have very good "souvenirs" from the times I ordered from him. That must be why he is busier than before...  :)

Try to find something to build with what you have or can get easily while waiting for your order from Small Bear.

It was an error of the e-mail server!!!
All ok!!
Steve has responded me fast and clean, all perfect.  :D

Thanks for the help, my items ordered to smallbear are most DPDT's, hard to find FETS (J201) and ICs (JRCD4558), good pots and other things.

They are to fit my BigMuff in a good dress, cause now is in that state:
