On R.G.'s schematic of the pcb (page 7) coming off the board from jumper 3 and jumper 4 they lead to a switch.  What is this switch?! Where is it talked about in the literature, I've read and reread and can't come across it.  This same switch shows up again coming off the board from C6 & C5, they then lead to a switch off the pcb board.  Those of you who have succesfully built this please help.

STOMPmole

You are actually talking about 2 different DPDT toggle switches.
Each DPDT switch has 6 (2 sets of 3) poles.  If you look at the dotted lines between the poles THAT designates 'one' (the same) switch.

One switch is connected to the first two (leftmost) connections (C7 and C8) and to C6 and C5.

something like this (if each switch pole was an "["...NC=no connection):

      [ (C7)  [ (C8) [ (NC)
      ________________

     [ (C6) [ (C5) [ (NC)

The second switch is for the UP/DOWN function and all switch poles are connected to the PCB (no 'NC's) as shown on the layout diagram.

Hopefully that helps...I'm sure it's clear as mud!  If you're still having trouble maybe I can scribble it out on paper, scan, and post it.
