I started a laser tag league here and we have about 30+ people to play every week.  We get these cheap guns for about $10 each from Toys R Us (I can't even describe the looks we get when be buy 10 at a time!).  Anyway, I want to know if anyone has experience with them and know anything at all about them.  I want to know mainly what sensor and bulb are used to transmit and recieve the beam.  I want to make something like "Bazooka Mode" that is always sending a beam, and I want to make a sensor on the gun for the potential  cheaters.  So any ideas at all would be truly appreciated.  Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Do some research on infrared emitter/detector circuits.

i've played with these before.  Use a TV remote control.  They're rapid fire, and more importantly, have a much wider angle than the guns.

im not sure what u mean by a "cheet detector"...what would this do ?

I did research infrared and have worked with it before, I just don't know which part is specifically used in laser guns.  And when I said a sensor on the gun to stop cheating, i meant a sensor ON the gun, so it is more difficult to hide when you are shooting.
