Aside from WAH , are there any other effects that uses inductor?

The inductor in VOX WAH, is it in millihenry or microhenry?

I'm asking this questions because I found a website that
gives free sample of inductors and I want to maximize my order.

Thanks Guys

Essentially all wahs use inductors. The notable exceptions are some DIY things and Morely.

The typical value is 500mH (half a henry, 500,000 microHenries).

You can't usually find 500uH in today's inductor market, but you can get 0.1H to 0.15H. You can use four or five in series to get 0.5H or you can use a small transformer primary to do that.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

They have 500,000 microhenry.

So I guess I can use it for the VOX wah.

Is that Wilco? I also attempted to order free samples from them. Later they send me an email confirming the order and they were asking for additional info like  a detailed description of where it will be used, how large is the production, when is it needed blah, blah. I replied by saying that it would be just for personal use, for a school project. They never emailed again. In short, those free samples are just for industrial entities that produces a product/s.

If it isn't Wilco, what is it?
Oh yeah!

Damn..What a spoiler
It is indeed that damn Wilco.. :(
hmm.. maybe I'll just send them some fictitious company
producing electronic products..
They did start that misleading ad anyway.

Not to offend you. I think the free samples program of companies producing electronic components are intended for industrial entities at the first place. It is one way of prospecting for companies to whom they will supply components. It's just that there are few like TI that recognize the potential of people outside the industry to come up with something that might become a hot product in the future. With that, they also provide samples for educational/research purposes. I think that's where we *disguise* (I welcome any objection :) ) our DIY activities to gain free samples.
Oh yeah!
