Hi i just purchased a yellow multi meter from Radio shack. I am testing my arons boost and wanted to know what setting to put it on. Should i put it on the lowest setting???

Owners Manual.
 I would set it at the 20V Range, being certain to use the correct jacks for reading Volts [where the probe leads plug in], then test a Small Voltage source like a 9V battery.
 Set for R and start checking the resistors.
 set it for beep [one of my faves] and look for shorts...
