off subject... diy extension cab

Sorry for posting this on an effects forum, but does anyone know where I can find advice on building a guitar extension cab?  So far all I've been able to pick up from Google searches is that it can't just be a "box", and that there are hundreds of people who would love to sell you the one's they've made.

I'm trying to find construction techniques, finishing techniques, size considerations, baffle suggestions... etc.
