does anybody here knows how to turn a onboard preamp based on the first input stage of a Fender amp to a MID BOOST, or to change the cap on a tone control of a guitar to a MID BOOST instead of a high freq dumper??????????? PLEASE GIVE ME A HAND WITH THIS!

aron

Think about it. Roll off lows, roll of highs, you get mids left. Check out the simple mods section off of my home page.

HI, i understand that but i only have a preamp on my guitar but i still dont know how to do those changes, i saw that by changing the input cap i would get les bass but my preamp doesnt have any input cap, if u can help me with that it would be awesome!!!

For a guitar, I still think that an active circuit would be best, as it would help to compensate for the lessened lows and highs. And how else do you achieve a mid boost? Anyone else have an opinion on that?

I agree with Paul, and aron,I built the Clapton Midrange booster into a Pedal, It works great and if you change the cap's on the high's and low's you can squeeze even more mid's out of it. and you can find this circuit in schematics #2 in the Archive's
