old tape deck, any use???

hey dudes,

on saturday i found an old akai tape deck at the recycling centre its really cool looking and its huge, its has got these cool kinda sensitivity meters on the front and has a couple of knob and switchs too.

instead of just taking these kind off things apart like i usually do i was wondering is there anything elese i can do with it...... tape echo comes to mind but im not quite sure about it.... any ideas??? :wink:

p.s. I would really like to mess around with the metre things.......
