i'm pretty sure I can do this but I want to clarify first:

You know how can add the diodes aftert the output cap in a booster circuit to create distortion. Is it possible to use a SPDT toggle switch to either put the diodes into the circuit or not to either put the distortion in or out?

if you take an MXR dist+ for example (or the huge amount of other pedals that are so similar) you'll find that removing the diodes will lessen the clipping, but as you turn the gain pot up you will get more distortion from the opamp.

If you have a booster type pedal you could add the diodes at the end of the circuit and use an SPST to either connect or disconnect the diodes to create distortion. Not sure how this sounds, but it's always worth a try

You might want to switch in a small value cap in parallel with the diodes to smooooth out the clipping. Experiment.
