Hi,

Are there any suitable enclosures available in Aussie shops? I know people in the US like to use RACO junction boxes but do we have a similar (cheap but still useful) alternative here?

Cheers

Richard

Richard,

Nice to see someone else from Perth.

As for the enclosures you should look at Altronics or Dick Smiths.

I havent found any cheap alternatives here.

Cheers Ken.   :D

I don't know about cheap or alternative, but the Jaycar HB5067 seems to be about the same size as the often mentioned 1590BB.  Bulk discounts start at 4 units.

Greetings!

I've done a far bit of price checking myself and  have found that Wiltronics in Ballarat, Vic, have Hammond type boxes for about the cheapest prices I've found.

If you find em cheaper, please let me know!!!

cheers

Dick Smith sells sturdy aluminium enclosures which measure about 11.5cm long, 6.5cm wide and 5.5cm high for about A$7. They also have others in different sizes. You might also want to try Jaycar as someone else already mentioned.
