Nah no schematic, I just tacked on a Big Muff TS where the Tonestackless schematic left off.

Use whatever values you want, I changed those in the end, can't recall what to at the moment.

That Clear It Up? And Yes you're right in your assumption of HPF & LPF.

Right... back with a proper build report on this one...

The Good news, it sounds great and there is no oscillation at any setting I could find, i'm not too keen on the multi turn trimmers for biasing by ear as they take alot of turns but that's a minor gripe and it sounded pretty nice at most settings anyway, perhaps not as heavy as a full stacked version because of the lack of tone shaping but still really nice.

Changes I would make would be to add a small cap across R15 so that you don't loose all the treble when you roll the tone stack down to the bass side and I do find the 3 way toggle to be pretty handy for different situations as it helps make up for that lack of tone shaping control.

The Bad news... there are 3 fixes needed to my layout (I'll update the layout and repost it here later, i'm going to add one or two things to it anyway).
If you built the first version you need to -

a) The easiest one, cut the trace connecting C2 & C3 and then connect the end you just cut of C2 to the Other side of C3.

b) Cut the Trace between C8 & R10 and then connect the now cut end of R10 to the other side of C8

c) The most complex fix (Not that hard though) Cut the trace going from the input up to Q1 Source (Leaving in tact the trace that runs from the source to R2 & C1) Remove C13 and Jumper Over it, then place C13 across the Gate and Source of Q1

And that's all that's required! (I say it like that, my board is now a mess of jumpers and lifted traces... but that was my own fault).

As my post above, I quite like that tone stack in this, of course you can forego the tone stack and just jumper from R14 to VOL Lug 3 (Hmm... perhaps adding a tonestack disengage switch could be a useful mod... if there's room i'll add pads on the new layout.

One last thing, it gets very tight on spots on the layout, so don't do what I did and have to keep lifting up the board mounted pots to get underneath to fix things cause that's how you end up with a bunch of lifted traces  :icon_redface:

Conclusion... awesome little pedal and in a 1590B!

Okay, ive redone the layout now to include pads to either have the tone stack switchable in and out of the circuit, to bypass it or you can just jumper them and have the tone stack in at all times.

I've also corrected the errors, changed the box cap 1uFs to Electros (Sod ordering special box caps) made a couple of places a little less tight and added in a shelve filter cap for the tone control so when you roll the bass down you don't loose all the highs.

A 3-Way DPDT, The middle position is always connected so with a resistor either side they add in parallell so you work out the middle value plus the other sides value to see what they would equal, the middle should always be the largest value (with resistors, caps work the other way) so you have 47k center, you add 47k on the other side and you get close enough to 22k, other side you have a 4.7k and you end up with close enough to 4.7k.

Make sense?

No Schematic i'm afraid, take the schematic at the start of this thread and slip a Big Muff (or whatever) tone stack before the volume control, that's all I did.
