^ Thanks, the paint is Rustoleum hammered, copper color...

^I was thinking it was something like a lacewood top, that looks fantastic, top to bottom!

That body shape cries out for a P90.

BEST PAINT EVER!!!

I use Rustoleum Hammered paints all the time. Although, I often do not get the excellent Hammered look like Lyons gets, I love that it sprays on easily and, most of all, dries VERY quickly!  ;)

By the way, guys, LP on the left is a little bit modified. I shielded the cavities of body, replaced stock wires (or whatever it was - puny piece of crap) with silverplated military stock wire and swapped cermic caps (another piece of ...I dunno how to name it without using faul language) with PIO k40y-9 caps - so it is some kind of DIY, I guess. :icon_lol:

Hellraiser is next for surgery - the guts are not too impressive, stupid bunch of wires....

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

Didn't like the big box of the GK-2A stuck on top of the guitar, so I took it apart, and embedded it into my Dillion Explorer. It was quite the task, which also involved reversing the wiring of the pickup, so as to have the wire going down, instead of coming up.

I also recently updated the bridge, with a Babicz full contact bridge. Amazing piece of engineering.

Awesome mods on that Dillion.  Love it.  And the stock pickups looks so amazing too.

Those aren't the stock pups. They're GFS Dream 180's. Excellent pups, I can't say enough good things about them. They cover a nice range of sonic territory. Not as flexible as the Bill Lawrence XL's, but impressive nonetheless. They're wired with coil cut switches, and there's the mandatory treble bleed mod. They're nice and jangly clean, and can just scream when dirty.

I play through a stereo rig, so having a nice distortion on one side, and the synth on the other, I can create some wonderfully expressive tones with this bad boy.

A few weeks ago I snagged a mint condition Ovation CDX44 in ruby red burst from a local Craigslist ad. I mean it's 100% perfect and looks brand new out of the box. The guy who sold it to me had bought himself all this stuff with it several years ago - a TKL Ovation logo hard canvas covered case, On-Stage stand, premium black leather strap, Dunlop cleaning cloth, extra set of D'Addario bronze strings - and says he tried playing it for an hour or so and decided he's never going to be a guitar player and put it away in his closet, LOL. I shouldn't laugh because I got the whole bundle for $425. I think it was well worth it. I love this guitar and it inspired me to play more than I did. It has a medium depth bowl and it doesn't really slip off my lap, although I wear the strap with it because I'm used to doing that even with my two Stratocasters when practicing sitting down. Any here's a photo of me and my Ovation that I took today. I apologize for the serious face. I don't really have that rock star look I guess ;)
