Zombie Chorus. Works but has noise...is this normal?

I built the Zombie Chorus recently and I really love the shimmering chorus sound it gives. The only problem is that I'm able to hear a noise associated with the "Rate" that is more audible as you increase the "Depth". Is this a normal issue with this circuit or is there a fix ?
