I finished my projects, just need to get rid of some popping in the switching and make the demo-vid. I have never made video demo's so any good tips are welcome.
I'm thinking of plugging the lineout of my tascam digital recorder (DR-07 MKII) into a cam so I don't need to deal with trying to sync video and audio. I have never done video editing before so what do you guys use or recommend?
Are there any good and easy to use video-editing programs out there?

If it's easier for you to do just the audio recording, you can do that. I mean, unless you want to do the video (they can be fun).

I just reread our rule and I can see how we might have given the impression that there must be BOTH audio and video. That certainly wasn't my intention.

oh, no I didn't get the wrong impression. I was just thinking to do a video because it's easier to see whats happening with the settings and such, and I can get away with less talking, I sort of have with camera's what rajesh koothrappali has with women, so I may need to bring a few beers along with me.

Anybody getting close?

Finally finished testing/breadboarding on the weekend, then finalized the layout and etched the board.  Board was populated last night.  Just need to drill the enclosure, assemble, test, then paint and decal.  I may actually finish in time if I don't run into any issues.   :)

Et voila.

Name of entrant: ~arph
Pedal name: Sentinel
A bit about the pedal:

This is a PT2399 based circuit, inspired by the Sewer Pipes Ring-Verb by Earthscum
I posted some sound samples way back in may 2011 and got some great reactions, but the pedal suffered from a little problem that never made me put out the schematic. The volume could get out of control. I did a five knob version with a volume control but still wasn't satisfied as it meant constantly tweaking the volume knob. Then recently Jon Patton came up (with the help of some forumites) with a way to limit the output of the PT2399 chip by using an LED to GND from pin 7.  This was ideal for this pedal and made me reopen the project.

So I present, the sentinel. A pitch modulator, delay (albeit very limited), sewer pipe reverb and drone verb sounds in a very small circuit.
It has four controls. Two are for modulation and two are for the delay.

1. Rate, the speed of modulation
2. Depth, the depth of the modulation effect
3. Drone, the feedback of the delay.
4. Width, the delay time of the circuit.

The key feature of this pedal in my eyes is the drone control combined with NO filtering in the feedback loop. This makes it possible to freeze notes, while you hear a drone sound in the back which pitch is determined by the delay time. (width). Because of this you can layer sounds and create complex mesmerizing soundscapes with just one pedal. It also does pitch pirate like sounds, crazy deep pitch modulation. Plus when the width control is set to minimum you'll have a sewer pipes like reverb sound.  Because of the limiter on the PT2399 the volume of the drone sound can not exceed a certain level, while the input CAN take higher levels. This way you can play clearly over the drone sound when you use a boosted input signal with the drone sound following your notes. The rest is up to the images and sounds. (don't mind my skills  :icon_redface: )

Layout I used: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1849818/published_images/perf1.png
PLEASE NOTE: There is an error in the layout, don't use it. It is just for reference.

You ain't a kidding!  Fantastic application!  There are elements of the EHX Freeze inside your box.

Thanks guys,

The audio is a bit out of sync as it was recorded separately. The camera in my phone is great (apart from the stupid auto focus), but the audio sucks.
So the audio is mic'ed from my amp. I married the two in iMovie, but somewhere during the export things got a bit out of sync again.. oh well. Not going to upload another 550Meg file.

Yes. Those graphics look amazing. And it sounds even better. I absolutely love drone effects and this one sounds pretty dang good.

Explain what's going on with the guts. Is that some kind of false bottom with a light border?

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

The guts indeed have a false bottom plate to cover the wiring underneath. I figured clean wiring is as little wiring visible as possible. The neon border is the light from the LEDs shining around it, this worked out really good as I sprayed the interior white. All wires connect to the bottom of the perfboard and are fed through a hole in the plate under it.

Very nice work ~arph. There is not a lot to not like there, and it's good to see someone else using LED trick on the PT2399s.
The false bottom is a really nice touch that I haven't seen before. What size enclosure is that?
I see you are using an opto isolator in your bypass switching - is this to stop bleed through in bypass, or are you just showing off (its a nice implementation either way)?
Two LEDs in the LFO? Are they both indicators or are they limiting too?
