Nice one rick! I still have not finished mine from even longer ago...:(
I get caught up in making boards and doing stuff for everyone else...

John

Hahaha, thanks John - yeah I should have said - PCB made by John Lyons. Actually my first PCB pedal build, though I've done a few Murder One's on PCB recently. Now I need to perf again though.

I noticed some people posting amps.

Just finished this Ceriatone Champ Ultra (Vibro with 1 input and a standby). I got an unassembeld kit.

It went pretty good for my first ever amp build, but I feel I could have done a little better work on the heater wires.... despite that, she's still very quiet, and the trem is wonderful.  :icon_mrgreen:

Hope you enjoy!!

Great work - I've been trying to summon up the courage to make a boutique valve amp for  the last year ???

Fuzzy-Train

Thanks!

Just jump in and do it man!!! It's actually really fun.

The whole process was really enjoyable and addictive... I'm already thinking of doing another one.

I've been playing more than building lately...
but here are my latest creations (while Morley PFA parts lie in almost every room of my house...)

Big Muff IC + Slow Gear + Green Ringer (in front of the muff) it's not complete, as the mini switches I had were faulty, but I'm using it already, so this was the last moment to take a picture, before it gets too stomped.
the IC muff wins hands down over the transistors one... plays great with bass too!! and the slow gear after the BM is simply amazing!!  you can make really cool reverse effect solos, in John Frusciante style... who appears in the flame&ice face picture. no chance to post guts of such a crammed pedal.

Line selector/buffer/booster for a friend. he has also a noise maker thinghie... which can be plugged into the green channel. red is for guitar and it's buffered/boosted with a tillman preamp. then the blue knob, the booster, is a LPB, my alltime favourite!

Someone asked by PM for some idea of how big it is, so here's a photo for scale, together with some internationally recognised household items:

I'm guessing the inside of the box was too crowded, so the extra nut outside the box keeps the jack from going too deep into the box.

I accidentally figured a way to do the opposite thing with pots. Some of the Alpha pots have a long shaft that keeps the knob from sitting flush with the enclosure. The knob "floats" and looks like crap. I experimented with cutting the tops off, but didn't get very good results.

One time I accidentally put a pot in with the nut still on. The I put a nut on the top like usual to hold the pot in place. Voila! The shaft is instantly the right length. Only problem: where do I get a whole bunch of extra nuts?

I remember a time, long ago, when you couldn't buy a pot 'without' 2 nuts. Maybe they just got mean?
