just resize the pnp to proper size

btw, this are from the stock schem, i've added a pad for the lug 3 of the gain pot incase you opt to have it on ground rather than on Vb

now etch some boards and do some solderin'   :icon_twisted:

i've tried this once and failed (using the original schem). im on my second attempt using board version #16 IIRC ;D

just that i can't seem to have the time to start solderin' those damn components  :icon_mrgreen:

so etch some boards and report back so we could verify this one :icon_twisted:

i forgot, i used BS170 for the MOSFETS on the layout, so they need to be oriented as BS170 and not as 2N7000 :icon_mrgreen:
crosscheck with the datasheet of your BS170 and the schem to avoid misorientation of your MOSFETS ;)

the two layouts above are the same except one has ground pour. i think you meant to ask if the schem i used was the stock or the brymus version.

the layouts are based from the stock version. these are the deviations from the stock scheme:

  • 1) added reverse protection diode [D3]
  • 2) Q2, Q3 and Q4 are BS170 and not 2N7000 on my layout (almost always that BS170 have the opposite pin configuration from that of 2N700, DGS vs SGD. but there are some BS170 that have the same pin so check the datasheet of the MOSFET you have, the drains of Q2-Q4 are connected to R9, R15 and R20)
  • 3) mislabeled the SWEEP POT on the tonestack as PRES
  • 4) added a GROUND PAD beside the lug 1 of the GAIN POT (i mentioned it as lug 3 earlier :icon_redface:) if you want to have it on ground as opposed to Vb (see stock schem and the brymus version)
