He's been posting of late at madbeansforum as i believe he's putting a PLL board together so you could pm him there. Also it may have been him looking for 2M pots in the members section here, maybe today.

Thanks to the 3-day weekend I was able to get this all finished up. I'm calling it the Chernobyl Overdrive (as you can see there :P) and I'm pretty stoked about how it turned out :) I was about to post it in the laser-etched thread as well, because it was etched by my cheap 2.5W laser, but I got too embarrassed looking at Darron's stuff and decided to just post it here :icon_redface: My laser doesn't etch super deep so I have to do a couple passes, which usually leaves the paint looking a little sloppy, especially in cases like this where I didn't do thick enough coats :P

This is also the first time I ever tried engraving on a surface that wasn't the top or bottom of the box, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :)

Agreed, but the dielectric constant of air is too low for that to happen at 66V :P

As far as we speak of Chernobyl, let me introduce my version of GTO Supercharger:

The tubes are 6n17b-v which are mostly used in soviet ground-to-air rockets like S-125, S-200  and another interesting thing is the grey resistor in the left corner of PCB  - it is high precision wounded non-inductive resistor which is also used in different military equipment. Actually there are several resistors of that kind in this build.

Postimage pics are gone. Maybe it's temporary, but I can't see them.

I think I found your early concept sketch of that pedal:

I'm actually disappointed that my Google search for "toroidal transformer with sprinkles" didn't turn up anything.   :icon_frown: :icon_wink:

Holy sh...t, where did you get it? I thought no more evidence and  witnesses of my secret project left. I'll get you. Suddenly. When you don't expect. Really. I mean it. )) I'm joking, relax. But remember that every joke contains only some part of joke, so actually it is not a joke, but I was joking about me joking, so you are recommended to be scared.

P.S.: Btw, the second button adds meat and grind to sound by switching on 22 uf cap in 4th cathode. Sound becomes more punchy and focused in low freqs.

Zapp- Very interesting use of components, I like it!! Any chance you can share a schematic too?

it gets my vote, zapp. I'd be too scared to vote any other way, comrade.

Be my guest:

As for the second button, you need to add 22 uf cap + 220 k resistor (they are connected in series, from cathode comes cap than resistor to ground) in parallel to 4th cathode resistor and  the tap between cap and resistor you need to pull to ground with switch.
