Here's one I got a kick out of doing for a custom request recently. He wanted a mammoth circuit put in an enclosure with a pic of the "Grumpy Cat". I'm pretty happy with the results, even tho I'm not really a cat person, lol. Here's the result...

So I haven't been etching in awhile and decided to do one. I'm not thrilled with how it turned out. I've noticed a few times actually that when using Ferric Chloride, I don't get the right amount of depth on my etches. The conditions have to be almost perfect every time.

So I have a question. What would be a better method of getting a deeper etch and less superficial one?

Like I said, some turn out perfect, but I want more to turn out perfect.

Medusa Fuzz
A PNP Ge Fuzz ,(has a voltage inverter on the back of the board) Second stomp activates a clean blend mixed in with the middle knob.
Has a tri-color led. Red for on, which changes to blue with the blend activated. I used a dual gang pot for the blend, as the knob is turned the led changes from blue to green at fully cw.

Maestro Filter, Sample & Hold.

...took me four builds to get one to work. Great fun to play with though!

Distortion +

Added a switch for some asymetric clipping options.

BYOC Phaser Royal

Ninja has light-up eyes.  ;D

keeping the ferric warm will help. especially at this time of year...(strong solution too)

etch, remove from ferric,  run under tap , use a toothbrush to rub off dead metal, then put back in ferric, ...

Am I the only one working on etched enclosures this week? Heh...! :D

Here's the paint for my Category 3 Booster:

I did all the detail work first, and sprayed the big area last. The main fill area is Rustoleum spray enamel, and the rest is Testors enamel that I mixed into varying shades, and then dabbed on with a brush. There actually is a pattern to the order of the border colors, but you'll never figure it out. $5 donation to DIYSB in the name of the first person who does. :P

So yeah, this is a tad late...   And no, I haven't read through every page yet to see if anyone has already guessed it.  Border colors =  Dr. Who

Great design BTW.

@ Dead Astronaut Yet another beautifull build - inspirational as always

I finally got a half decent enclosure etch. I had the pattern cut out of vinyl then i stuck it to the enclosure and etched away.

Thanks :)    I'm not sure yet. I started to put one of my Turkeyday shootout modulation junkie builds in it, but now that you say that i may put a Dr. Boogie. Maybe slant cut it long ways
