@graham: i have a big muff on breadboard at the mo...i took an out directly from the last gain stage....sounded very creamy.,.. :icon_cool:

Ha! Rob I made the same joke so I shall share your taxi fare! The Big Muff is a great circuit for tweaking. Mess with the tone stack values (and add a Mids knob/switch) and the clipping frequency caps and you can get a huge variety of tones from it. Ok, it's all a variety of fuzz, but definite variety and lots of fun.

Not to mention you can add pretty much any booster in front of it (and label it "pre", like some booteekers do) and it will open up the sound a lot. Even amp-like, believe it or not.

i'm working on a 'SPACE MUFF FUZZ' ... ;)

to be revealed in a bit.....very unorthadox. but f...g cool ass mods/sounds... 8)

and easily tacked onto your standard muff too ;)

Be interested to hear that when it's ready Rob, mine is a kind of weird mix of Violet Ram's Head, Earthbound Supercollider, BlackArts Pharoah and EQD Hoof at the mo, I can't seem to stop tinkering around with it, was supposed to just be a Violet Ram's Head! ;)

yeah thats the cool thing with breadboard surfing....too many choices...some good some not so..

ive manged to get some cool octave sounds out of it too...  8)

my wav-mp3 converter has decided not to work...the f..... f....er.. ::).as soon as i get another free one i'll post up results/clips...thread.

its the kinda sound ive been after for a while...squeezey, swelly , steve hillage type stuff.....i even got the 'trumpet' sort of thing going too.. 8)

very synthy...hence 'SPACE FUZZ'.. ;)

Well, I don´t post too much, but I´ll show the latest pedal I´ve made.
A BB Preamp Clone (Madbean´s Glitterratti PCB) with some Switches to have more Clipping Options.
