Looks great, but drinking and building stompboxes is a dangerous combination. ;)

Another copper sulfate electro-etch.

Andrew.

Smooth indeed! Nice one.

Here's my Woolly Mammoth clone. Still not completely satisfied with the etch. Not deep enough...

It looks great! Love steam punk style.

Looks to me like the writing is on the back side of the sail!  What's the problem?  ;)

Well, duh, the ship is supposed to be sailing northwest, and instead it's heading southeast!

Working on a 4 knob Engineer's Thumb - I  left off the threshold control. Have not verified my OSH Park PCB yet though.

Electro-etched in copper sulfate (as an experiment I did no sanding prep, just acetone wipe and then press n peel)

Andrew.

I need to finish some builds have now have 3 etched enclosures to populate.

Of all the possible engine line drawings, you used the Chrysler slant 6?  You should call the pedal the leaning tower of power, just like Mopar fans have named that engine.

I heated the enclosure in the oven to 300 F with the press n peel in place held down lightly by the enclosures lid. After the oven got up to 300 F I took the enclosure out and went over the press n peel with a speed ball (silk screen) rubber roller. I put the enclosure back in the oven for 5 minutes and gave it another once over with the roller before quenching with cold water.

There are a few blotches where the toner did not transfer. I was considering doing it over, but decided against it.

I was thinking that maybe I should bake out the moisture first (i.e. 300 F for 20 minutes then let it cool before doing the transfer) like people do when powder coating - couldn't hurt to try next time.

Are they that uncool?  I always sort of liked odd ball tech.

Andrew.

I would have thought a Hemi with a blower for a... compressor!
