Haha i see. I think that was a practical necessity, it's a momentary switch so has the long black body that wouldn't fit any other way. (Excuses excuses)

Finally added knobs. Really dig this pink/orange combo.

That's another +1 from me, Patrick.  :icon_cool:

But...

I'm on vacation, reading this on a phone, so didn't notice this. Thanks for the heads-up, willie.

"Offends" is a bit harsh.

"Worries" is more accurate.  ;)

Been a while since I boxed anything up. Here are three - chorus, overdrive and octave/filter.

Beautiful faceplates, i love the black and copper. Would really like to be able to get something like that myself but i don't really want to start messing around with acids and my laser engraver isn't powerful enough to get through copper

I just finished up this Quantum Defrakulator from Parasit Studio. I can't say enough good things about it. It's extremely fun. I had an issue with the 2nd step of the 1st oscillator. It would only work every now and then from the start. In the build doc it says that sometimes it takes the LFO a few seconds to get going and I thought that was it. Well, it turns out that the CMOS chip was at fault. I swapped it out with a new one, tested it out, and it acted very strange. The 3rd and 4th lights were randomly jumping back and forth and it sounded like it was dying. I quickly shut it off and noticed that terrible smell of burned electronics. I let the smoke out. That new chip I put in was hot a hell and in upside down:-[  I thought, for sure, that I had ruined it. I grabbed another 4052BE, put it in the correct way and switched it back on. It worked! But now I had a dead LED, coincidentally the 2nd step of the 1st oscillator. After removing all 12 of the knobs I had carefully installed juuuust right, I replaced the LED, buttoned it back up and it's good to. The graphic is MU/TH/UR 6000 from Alien. This will go nicely with my Ripley and LV-426 pedals.

Used LF353P. I like it, but it's a little bit noisy, no idea why.

Very nice, Rob. Which circuit is that?

deadastronaut

Cheers Tom, it's a flatline, with a couple of tweaks, added a switch to swap caps in the rectifier for fast, slow comp...and added a led in parallel with the ldr for indicator...does what I need it to do... 8)

TY, that is a very nice thing to say :) Yeah, I keep my etching to a minimum these days since I don't particularly like dealing with chemicals any more. I have a cheap laser and cnc which I really need to get some use out of.

Anyway, here are two more completed, this time with direct etching. These were etched for about 3-4 minutes then one light coat of clear over the top. A bit ghetto looking but I only have to impress myself.

Haha, yeah. I should have done a better job with that. I neglected to add some of the body outlines so the image was more clear. But, I doubt it's the last beecage I'll do.
